This is the main reading room at the National Archives. Seriously, I mean I know I'm a historian so I'm biased in favor of the historic and grand, but shouldn't all libraries and archives look like this? I know clean and modern and all that is the latest thing, but even our little reading room at the Salt Lake County Archives (which is quite new) has some great old cabinets and pieces of gorgeous woodwork. I just wish there were more buildings like this in the world.

I'm jealous! I only ever got to do research at the archives at College Park- which is a perfectly nice building but doesn't have half the character as the one in DC. Jealous!
