We had a great holiday weekend with our families, and actually got to see virtually everyone. We had dinner with Tracy's mom, dessert with my mom and the gang, breakfast with my Dad and Pam and got to see my cousin Lee give a seriously awesome talk as his mission report. And of course how bad can any weekend be when you get to taste five kinds of pie (pumpkin, apple, chocolate cream, pecan, and cream cheese) along with a lot of other delicious food.
We also went to see the movie The Blind Side. It gets my wholehearted recommendation. Based on a true story about a family who went out of their way to help a young man in trouble, it's a remarkable true success story. Its one of those movies that helps you rebuild your faith in humanity. I loved that it was so uplifting without being sticky-sweet.
