Having fun in Boise
So Tracy and I survived our trip to Boise. We had to go through Pocatello, and getting out of Utah was an adventure but we made it. We've been having a great time here. I'll post more (including cute nephew and niece pics) when we get back to Utah.

Merry Christmas!
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas filled with love and joy!

Christmas Makes Me Happy

Here's a picture of our lovely tree, I decided to go for mood over clarity in posting this picture. There's something about having 95% of the Christmas errands done that allows the joy of it to sink in! While I know that the joy of Christmas can mean a lot of things to a lot of different people, for me Christmas serves as a constant reminder of the joy that can come into a person's life through faith in Christ.
Snow and other related stuff...
So yesterday the Wasatch Front got a nasty storm that ended up shutting down the U. Now, this couldn't have happened on a day when I could have gotten out of something because of it, no it had to happen on the day I was supposed to go pick up my classes exams so I could have them graded over the weekend and be done by Monday. Oh well, on the bright side (since the testing center that has my exams doesn't open again until Monday) it means I was able to finish my Christmas shopping this morning and now I'm headed to lunch with Michaele, who managed to somehow make it to Salt Lake in spite of the aforementioned storm. Oh, and for those of you who heard about our car woes, Tracy already has it fixed. Yippee!!

Joy to the World
So good news on many fronts. I've just completed the last bit of my own coursework, of course that swamping sense of relief doesn't really kick in until it's in the professors box, but still it means the last regular paper I'll write for the foreseeable future. I'll also be glad to get my final batch of grading done this weekend, but because of the weird schedules of finals week I can't start that until Friday evening, so I have a bit more space to breathe in the meantime.
Another piece of good news is that I'm now down to two jobs instead of three. Basically instead of being a TA for the history department, I'll get the same benefit to work on the Utah Indian Curriculum Project. I'll miss teaching, even in an online version, but this will definitely be less stressful.
Oh, and I have a giant pile of fun books that I'm dying to start on...
