So over the last seven years at the University of Utah I have checked out A LOT of books. However, since they don't actually require you to ever take anything back unless someone else has requested it, there has been this cache of 20 plus books on my dissertation topic that I've had for years, literally. Add to this the odds and ends from various projects that just never got returned and I've had half a bookshelf full of the Marriott Library's books. Tonight, inspired by the feeling that I might, actually, really be graduating and by the urge to get those shelves back, I gathered them all up and tomorrow Tracy and I are going to return them.
It's the most excited I've ever been to return library books.
